The River Slaney

A photograph of the River Slaney in County Wexford. The name translates into "River of Health". It flows from the mountains of Wicklow down into Wexford Harbour.

Taken in September of 2014, at the side of the R730 regional road in Ferrycarrig.



This particular one was taken from the tower house at Ferrycarrig, looking north-west, at the mouth of the river:



Another photo, taken just as night was beginning to fall. On the left, you can see the bright lights of Ferrycarrig Hotel.
