F. O'Connor and Company Model Steam Bakery

A photograph of the old F. O'Connor and Company Model Steam Bakery entrance, which is located on Wexford's quay front.

F. O'Connor and Company Model Steam Bakery

Taken in September of 2014. The bakery existed between 1860 and 1919. The back entrance to Shaws is visible on the right. The red building used to contain Walsh Cabs, whereas the green premises was Chaz Bar (now closed).

Update: A week or two after this photograph was taken, the building in front was demolished. From what I've read, the original entrance to the steam bakery has been preserved and will be re-erected inside the new car park.

DV8, Wexford

A photograph of the DV8 fashion store on Wexford's main street. In the past, the premises was home to a fashion outlet called Awear, before it went into receivership. Before that, the building was used by Joyces of Wexford.

This was taken at night in September of 2014, at the top of Anne Street.

Here is a picture of the store before DV8 moved in. A-Wear went into receivership at the tail-end of 2011, just before the Christmas season. The fashion chain officially ceased trading in January of 2014.
