Old Wexford Bridge

A photograph of the entrance to the old Wexford bridge, which used to connect Carcur to the Crosstown area of Wexford.

An old bridge in Wexford

This bridge was built in the 1860s. In the 1950s, it was demolished because it was struggling to deal with the continuous rise in the volume of traffic. It was replaced by a newer bridge, which was built further downstream. Nowadays, it serves as the entrance to the Wexford Boat Club.

This photo was taken in December of 2014.
